The Crisis-A Very Good Start

July 12th, 2009

In May of this year I wrapped shooting on a short film entitled, The Crisis. My first major undertaking under my Official Idea Productions banner. Wrapping up at 20-25 minutes and having a cast of five, it’s the biggest film I’ve produced to date.

Mary Helen drinks as Allie Munson talks.

Ray Beasley listens intently as Jessica Scott talks.

Setting the stage for the film is a marketing agency in crisis as they hash out their plan of attack against the small island nation of Cuba in the last thirteen hours before the Cuban trade embargo is lifted. A crisis of soul, sex, wit, and and emotional frustration ensues. Welcome to a world where the curtain finally fell on Cuba.

Jessica and Mary have a confrontation.

I’ll keep you posted as the story on my film progresses, as I try to take it through the festival circuit, and what may come of it when it’s all said and done. Also, as we finish editing here in the next month, stay tuned for the trailer; should be a fun ride..
